Learn how to build a portfolio suited for beauty campaigns, prepare for castings, and position yourself for opportunities with leading beauty brands. The session will also cover common mistakes to avoid and include an opportunity to ask Jym questions directly.

It runs as a 60-minute group session with Jym Benzing, held over video with up to 10 peers working on the same thing.

Jym Benzing is a New York-based casting director and producer with over 25 years of experience across fashion, beauty, advertising, runway, and editorial. As the founder of Jym Benzing, Inc., he has worked with some of the world’s most recognized brands, including L’Oréal Paris, Estée Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, La Mer, Maybelline, NARS, YSL Beauty, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Urban Decay.

Jym previously spent 10 years as an in-house casting director and producer for L’Oréal USA, overseeing casting for global advertising campaigns across its portfolio of beauty brands. He also served as Bookings Director at SELF Magazine under Condé Nast, casting celebrities, models, and athletes for editorial features and covers.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading creative agencies, fashion publications, and brands, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Sephora, Bobbi Brown, and Clinique. His experience across both the creative and commercial sides of casting gives him a deep understanding of how talent is discovered, selected, and positioned for major campaigns, as well as the relationships and decisions that shape the industry.
